Horrell Hill Independent Baptist Church is a Traditional style church that, through the use of the Gifts God has given to each individual, we corporately gather to Worship.
Our music style and singing would be just like most traditional churches with the use of the Red Back Hymn book for our Congregational songs. Most services include special singing led by volunteers that day.
We do use the blessing of musical instruments to accompany our voices as we sing Praise to God Almighty.
We also hold to a traditional style of preaching. Our belief is that God's Word is the ultimate authority and the Pastor is ordained and anointed by God to be the willing vessel to guide those in the congregation.
Horrell Hill Independent Baptist Church holds to the belief that the KJV Bible is the inspired Word of God, without any error, the all sufficient authority in matters of faith, doctrine, and Christian living.
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. We believe in the Virgin Birth of Jesus Christ. That Jesus died on the cross for our sins and arose from the grave, ascended into heaven where He sits at the right hand of the Father and is now our High Priest and Advocate.
We believe that man was created in the image of God but fell into sin and only through regeneration by the work of the Holy Spirit can we receive salvation and spiritual life be obtained.
We believe that salvation is the free gift of God, entirely apart from man's works, and is possessed by any and all who have faith in and receive Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior.
We believe in the regenerated church member: that is, persons old enough to understand their need for Jesus Christ and have of their own free will, accepted Him as their personal Lord and Savior will undergo the regeneration of the Holy Spirit. Bearing the fruits of the Spirit and also engaging in the health and the growth of the church.
At Horrell Hill Independent Baptist Church our Mission is to Evangelize, Enrich, Educate, Equip and Edify each member of the congregation, while also reaching out for those that don't know Christ to receive Him. (Ephesians 4:11-13)
Our Vision is to develop a body of believers who are trained and equipped in the sharing of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, who are also able to disciple others and to give an answer and to defend our Faith with any that may have questions. (1 Peter 3:15)
The Gospel of Jesus Christ is the core of our belief and drive from which we receive the Great Commission. We are encouraged to reach out and extend the good news about Jesus. Our lives should be driven by the "One Message" with the power to save souls. (Matthew 28:16-20, Acts 1:8)
