Pastor Randy B. Moore 2000-Present
Randy Moore is the Senior Pastor at Horrell Hill Independent Baptist Church. Randy was born in August of 1967. The first church service was also held the same month and year. Randy grew up in Hopkins, South Carolina, where he got to study under his father Lester P. Moore from an infant. Randy has been a life long member of HHIBC and took over as Senior Pastor in April back in the year 2000. Randy went through Lester P. Moore's Bible Institute at HHIBC, which taught on all the Major Doctrines, the Fundamentals of our Faith, How to Study the Bible and how to also handle Pastoral Care. Randy also plays the bass at church for the singing part of the service and has taught others along the way on how to play different instruments. Some of the things Randy enjoys doing outside of Pastoring this church would be hunting, fishing and enjoying fellowship with his congregation. He is supported by his loving wife, Mandy Moore.
Pastor Glenn Frye 2000-Present
Pastor Glenn Frye has been helping to shepherd the flock of Horrell Hill Independant Baptist church since April of 2000. Glenn grew up in Lake City, South Carolina, where he learned a lot of the good characteristics that he still holds today, by helping his family work on a farm. Glenn moved to Columbia, SC in his High School years and through intervening direction from God, found his way to HHIBC under the pastoral guidance of Lester P. Moore. Glenn went through Lester P. Moore's Bible Institute at HHIBC, which taught on all the Major Doctrines, the Fundamentals of our Faith, How to Study the Bible and how to also handle Pastoral Care. Glenn loves hunting and is also an avid outdoorsman. His love for God's creation can not be denied. Glenn is supported in his role by his loving wife Dale Frye.
Pastor Roger A. Moore Sr 2000-2013
Roger Moore is Lester P. Moore's oldest son who watched closely and followed in the footsteps of his father. Roger's knowledge and revelation of the bible was second to none. Roger taught the teenage Sunday School class when he was in his early twenties. He had a special talent that you don't find often of relating to teens, and people in general, that would convict them without offending them. He was a gentle giant and truly loved the Lord and those around him. Roger attended Lester P. Moore's Bible Institute at HHIBC, which taught on all the Major Doctrines, the Fundamentals of our Faith, How to Study the Bible and how to also handle Pastoral Care. Roger became a pastor at HHIBC in April of 2000. Roger was well known for playing the steel guitar and bass guitar. His love for all the church members and his special way of bringing conviction into his sermons are still remembered today. Roger pastored at HHIBC for 13 years before arriving at his long awaited home with the LORD. Forever by Roger's side, then and now, was his sweetheart Dona Moore Osment.
FOUNDING PASTOR Rev. Lester P Moore 1967-2000
Established in 1967, Rev Lester P. Moore was the founder of Horrell Hill Independent Baptist Church. Lester came from a background of Ministry Life. Following in his fathers foot steps, Lester answered God's calling on his life after moving to Columbia, South Carolina he answered the conviction of God's calling to preach His Word. Lester began preaching revivals up and down the east coast and evangelizing to any and all that would call him. He eventually felt led to build a church that all could come and worship in spirit and in truth of God's Word. The first church was built on Leesburg Road in Hopkins SC. As the congregation outgrew that church, he oversaw the building of the second and current church in Horrell Hill SC. Lester pastored HHIBC for 33 years. Always by his side was his greatest support and wife Mildred "Bille" Moore. With the Holy Spirit guiding him, along with a lot of good help from soon to be Members that God sent his way, Horrell Hill Independent Baptist Church was founded and is still leading souls to Christ today.
